About Discussion Webs
All communities have their own unique issues of local public concern. Discussion webs are made available on the HomeTic Network to facilitate open, public interaction as a means of promoting participation and informed decision making.
Discussion webs provide residents the opportunity to share ideas, opinions, perceptions and comments with others in the community. A respect for difference of opinion is encouraged, as we welcome everyone to express their opinions regardless of their position on the issues.
The HomeTown Network offers a discussion web in each municipal and school Information Center, where members of the community are able to discuss general topics interest with their neighbors over the "Back Fence". In addition, dedicated sites may be provided for specific issues of concern. Contact the webmaster to learn more about creating a discussion site for your local issue.
At the current time, posting is open to all visitors. Registration may be required for certain limited access sites.
