Editor Moderated Chat
The purpose of this Chat Series is to encourage honest open discussion of community issues, in a positive manner to facilitate mutual understanding, informed decision making, and constructive action to problem solving. All communities have issues, and there are as many differences of opinions as there are people, but hopefully through constructive dialog we can respectfully disagree while working together for the good of the community.
The Topic of this chat is the Town Board Meeting. Our goal is to allow residents to share their feelings about the decisions made, actions taken or other concerns discussed at the previous Board Meeting. Please bring at least one positive comment for each constructive criticism. I believe this has potential to encourage involvement by those who did not attend, dispel unfound rumors that often circulate, and generally contribute to the exchange of ideas and perceptions. Hopefully discussions will include recognition and encouragement for positive actions of the Board as well as constructive criticism. If this proves to be useful to the community it may become a regular monthly feature. I plan to contact each Councilmen to offer them an opportunity to be a featured guest of a future online chat session to encourage a connection with their constituents.
