Watchdogs Needed
A primary goal of the HomeTown Network is to empower rural communities with information sharing services. We all have busy lives and its impossible for everyone to attend and participate in oversight of all the institutions and organizations that effect our quality of lives. Our "WatchDog" feature was established to promote public awareness by giving a voice to local community activists. and enable reporting on local issues, governments and school boards.
Watch Dogs are local, service oriented community members who help keep their neighbors informed by regularly writing an article sharing their observations, and insights. Contributors who monitor and report on special areas of interest are eligible to receive sponsorship. We encourage, fair, accurate reporting of facts, inclusion of various points of view, and permit expression of the author's opinion. The HomeTic Network does not endorse or support any specific cause, position, or political party, and does not necessarily agree with the opinions published.
Watchdogs are needed to regularly attend and report on local school boards, municipal governments, and other concerns of public interest. For more information about becoming a watchdog please contact Jim@hometic.com.
